Flipkart donates ICU Ventilators to the state of Karnataka

Bengaluru - June 28, 2021: As a part of its ongoing efforts to support and augment the relief efforts towards Covid 19, Flipkart, India's homegrown e-commerce company today donated 30 life-saving ICU ventilators to Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (KSMSCL). This is a part of Flipkart's efforts to donate ICU ventilators and support various state governments in their efforts to enhance their capacity to treat Covid-19 patients and provide timely critical care. In addition, Flipkart is also donating 250 ICU Multipara monitors to the state to strengthen the fight against Covid-19.


Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri B. S. Yediyurappa, said, "The Government of Karnataka has systematically strengthened all surveillance and containment measures against the possible spread of the second wave of COVID-19. However, it is pertinent to support and upgrade the public health infrastructure appropriately. I appreciate Flipkart's relentless efforts towards the fight against Covid-19 in supporting the community and several efforts undertaken in Karnataka. Their contribution of 30 ICU ventilators and 250 ICU Multipara monitors will further strengthen our critical care work as we fight against COVID-19".

The medical ventilators were handed over at a ceremony in the presence of the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri B. S. Yediyurappa, Shri Dr CN Ashwath Narayana, Deputy Chief Minister Government of Karnataka and Shri Dr Sudhakar K, Minister of Medical Education & Health Government of Karnataka.
